Human Rights
Legacy Justice Initiative is committed to advancing peace, capacity building of traditional authorities, protection of abductees through legal aid provision and inclusive youth empowerment and development.
LeJI plays a vital role in promoting peaceful reintegration and long-term recovery for survivors of abduction and individuals returning from captivity or prolonged displacement. Through community-based support mechanisms, we foster social cohesion and healing, facilitating safe reintegration of returnees and supporting their access to essential services and livelihood opportunities.
Our News/Activities
We are especially active in Jonglei State and the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA), providing capacity-building for customary courts, facilitating youth empowerment, offering legal aid and civic education, and creating platforms for cultural and intergenerational dialogue.
